Congrats to F and Hubby!
Though it's a madness rush...but still..it's a joyous occasion!!
Thanks for inviting me though we are not very close!
And for that, i went to a nail parlour at Far East Plaza.
Again, no obligations and no one knows that i'm actually gonna do a review..keke!
Meaning!! I'm not paid what-so-ever in any way.
And in FACT, i paid for their service.
And in FACT, i paid for their service.
Here's what's done to my hands and feet:
More photos with filter:
Honestly, they look nicer with filter by instagram.
Environment: Nice and clean, just beside the mini mart at level 2 (proceed up the stairs from ground level, above pastamania).
Everything looks new - supposed to be a new parlour i think with only 4 chairs for customer - 2 with sink for classic pedi (soaking of feet etc.) and the other 2 for normal (like express).
It's tend by the lady boss and 2 assistants - i think from vietnam?
Service: No drinks offered, didn't inform customers to take off shoes in advance when they saw you walking in and was only inform when my friend (she went earlier due to lack of manpower that they can't do all 4 of us at the same time) told us. Not exactly very courteous or friendly in the right way.
The 2 assistants kept talking in their own hometown language in front of us - the customers - and their own boss - who's a Singaporean.
I, seriously, think that you should at least maintain your professionalism by talking in a language that your customers can understand, instead of using a different language and talk about your customer - yes, even though it's different language, you can more or less guess the topic they're talking about.
Moreover, please also respect your boss by talking in the language she understands!!
I know your boss is a nice, gentle and rather polite lady, but for goodness sake, she's your boss!
Yes, i know it's none of my business regarding how the assistants treat the boss but still!!!!!
The Prep work before the painting: I must say the lady boss did a good job in soaking my feet, cleaning etc. - all the steps before the actual painting of my toe nails was done by her. She is detailed enough and i must apologize to her as there were a few times i almost kicked her coz i can't see where my feet was and my leg was a tad bit long (Not Showing Off).
I can see my feet is cleaner and whiter after that and cuticles removed nicely.
In contrast, the prep work for my hands was done by 1 of the assistant A(quiet as compared to the other assistant B) was ok, but not as good as the lady boss.
Nail colours and art: I shall.....talk about my feet first....It's actually done after my hands but it's a shorter review so i shall do this first (You'll know why as you read on). I love the colour and how the nail polish looks with it shining, it was actually recommended by assistant B who was doing my friend's nails when she heard i want a Mahogany/Magneta colour.
However, i heard it was meant for gelish?!? or is the brand called gelish???? I'm not quite sure what it meant, but i sure do hope that it'll come off like the normal nail polishes and not soak off. I love the colour (2nd time i'm mentioning) even though it's towards the red zone yet, it has the chocolate brown touch in it.
Next: Here comes my hands:
Please note that the design that i've asked for is gredient which should look something like tat:
Credits to Google search and swatchaholic.com
Or somewhere near what is shown - the concept is the same:
The nail colour fade from 1 end to the other end
My hand nails only look good when it's seen far away - an illusion that it's gredient, but IT'S NOT!!
I almost got a urge to ask the person to wash off on the spot!!!
But!! i don't really want to make a huge scene out of it so i just kept quiet on the outcome when i was there. =p
And here i am, making a "comment" on that.

Well, let's hope that this review doesn't make me sound like a "b*tch" though.
In any case, i would not recommend anyone going to this parlour in near future unless the staff are changed or they have improved their skills and attitude.
Ratings: 5/10

PS. i've recently went to another nail parlour for express service - upcoming review!!
