Yeap! I'm back with another review: The Banila co. Prime primer - Classic.
I bought this in Korea (Yeap, another loot i sweep during my last korea trip) at the Lotte duty free.

Actually, i didn't even know the existence until my friend was being caught up by the sales person and all the regular introduction of the product. Call me outdated or whatever~
Basically they have a range of primers, ranging from classic to matte etc.
I chose the classic cause':
Firstly, it was on promo, 3 for a cheaper price but has to be 3 from the same range.
Secondly, it feels good when i tested it on my hand, not sticky or any weird texture.
Lastly, it seems to be the basic primer they had so thought trying their basics first.
Here's more pictures:
The packaging looks like a reputable brand that can be found in Sephora or similar..keke!
What it looks like: a white-ish gel-like texture which is slightly watery.
Texture: As compared to the primer from Maybelline (if i din remember wrongly), this is SUPER light people!! After putting and spreading on your skin, you can literally (almost) feel nothing at all on your skin! It's seriously a primer: a transparent protective layer from your makeup. Yes! There are brands in the market that claim their primer protects, but for goodness sake, if your primer is so damn thick, fills up my pore, it's an additional burden for my skin rather than protecting ok?!?!
Colour: It is transparent after spreading on your face, so no issues on discoloration of your foundation - i use bb cream though (will come up with reviews soon!)
Function/Benefits: Well, a primer is suppose to prime and protect your beautiful skin from makeup that may ruin or suck the life out of your skin right? So i suppose Banila Co. Classic Primer do works! Ever since i started using the the primer before putting on makeup:
1) My makeup last longer throughout the day (Mind You! I'm staying in a hot and humid country where wooden furniture will have green "organic plants" growing on or metal furniture that will rust like nobody's business)
2) My face ain't that oily with makeup, as in the oil-shine thing doesn't come out that easily
3) After removing the makeup at the end of the day (like 12-16hrs), i can totally feel my skin is still that same old skin and doesn't breakout more acne or stripped of moisture
Recommendations: I would encourage you people to try it out, since my skin is combination (which means it should be ok for both oily and dry skin)..But do take note, after spreading on your skin, let it rest for a few minutes before putting on your foundation etc. In my own logic, it is so that the primer can form and dry up a layer over your skin first, then when you put on your foundation, you won't actually shift the protective layer too much and foundation leaking through the layer and touches your skin...My own LOGIC.. LOL!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm in consideration for purchasing the primer, but do you know if its oil free or not?
Thank you
Hi (erm...whoever you are =)
DeleteI'm trying to find out for you if it's oil free as there's no ingredient list on the packaging.
BUT! If your skin is oily (full face - all areas including cheeks and neck), i would recommend you getting their Prime Primer Matte Classic as it's made for oily skin.
If you have a sensitive skin, it would be better for you to look for other products or wait till i managed to find out about the ingredients. If you don't mind risking your dollars, you could purchase 1 to try out on your neck for adverse reactions though.
Till then, =)
Regards
J
